Why Use a Pet Sitter?

Benefits for the pet:

The pet remains in his or her secure environment, where all the

sights, smells and sounds are familiar.

The pet follows his or her regular diet and exercise routine.

The pet is not traumatized by travel in a vehicle.

The pet is not exposed to illness of other animals.

Most importantly, the pet receives love and personal attention while you are away.

Benefits for the owner:

You are not inconvenienced by transporting your pet.

You do not have to impose upon a friend, neighbor or relative.

Your home is looked after as well since I provide crime-deterrent services by rotating lights, turning on/off TV and making the home look occupied during your absence. You can return home at any hour of the day and find your pet eagerly awaiting your return.

Service Rates

Initial Consultation:Before any visits are scheduled for a first time client, I do a "meet & greet" with you and your pet/pets. This takes about 20-30 minutes and is a very important part of the pet sitting process. This allows me to meet your pet/pets, complete necessary paperwork, answer questions, transfer keys, and discuss detailed instructions on the care of your pet/pets.There is no charge for this visit. If I retain your house key at this time for future visits, it is kept safely in a locked cabinet with no one having access to it but myself. If you prefer to get key returned to you after pet sit is complete, I do charge a $5.00 key pick up fee for future visits.

Pet Sitting: 30  minute visit which includes feeding/fresh water, playtime, potty break (15 minute walk outside),cleaning litter box, administering medication if necessary, brushing hair, bringing in mail/newspapers, watering indoor and outdoor plants, and monitoring safety of home. Two visits per day recommended for cats and three visits per day recommended for dogs. This can be customized to your liking. This price includes up to two pets in the same household. There is a $5.00 charge for each additional pet. Ask about charges for rodents, rabbits and reptiles. For those clients who want them, I provide regular email or text report updates while you are away. Phone calls to check on your pets while you are away are always welcome. $18 per visit

Dog Walking: 25 minute walk ( weather permitting) involves walking up to two dogs from the same household in the dog's own neighborhood. Only one client's dog/dogs are walked at a time. I always pick up pet waste with biodegradable bags. $18

Euthanasia Service:If your "best friend" is suffering with pain or illness and it is time to say goodbye, I offer a compassionate service to help you through this difficult time. Many people cannot bear the thought of being in the Veterinarian's office during this emotional event. I will transport your pet to the Vet's office of your choice, and stay with them. I will hold your pet in my arms and talk to them calmly throughout the entire procedure. $50
